Poochie is the Founder and Top Dog of Poochie Garden. His full name is Lapochka, which means “sweetie” in Russian, and he has an Instagram account if you like to follow dog content! Poochie is a rescue Pomsky – half Pomeranian and half Siberian Husky. He has way more energy than our small space could possibly accommodate as it was. Our first clue came when he started digging holes in the yard immediately after we adopted him. We decided to redirect some of Poochie’s exuberant energy by building him a Digging Garden of his own. That was a great start, but he needed more. The result is that we transformed our entire yard into a canine sensory and enrichment garden designed especially to meet his needs. There is no doubt that Poochie Garden is Poochie Approved! He loves his yard so much that we knew we had to share it with others.

Connecting You with All Things Poochie Approved

We share Poochie Garden virtually through this website and blog, as well as on Facebook and Instagram. Sharing it it in person (would that be “in dog”?) is where we really find joy! Poochie Garden is available for private use by reservation only through an app called Sniffspot. That means anyone can reserve the space for their dog, plus additional guest dogs, if they choose to coordinate with friends. Nobody else will be present during a reserved time, and that’s a pretty special arrangement for dogs – and humans – who are selective about the others with whom they socialize.

Poochie and his pack are selective about our socialization, so we love spending time at Poochie Garden. However, we get out and about, too! We enjoy walks or hikes and car rides together every day. Between creating a sensory and enrichment garden and getting out together, we have collected quite a bit of dog gear! Part of our mission at Poochie Garden is to connect you with products that have Poochie’s stamp of approval. To achieve that, we will share our experiences and recommendations in our dog blog, Pooch Corner!
